Re "Killing the Shadows", I'm confused on the ending. What happended with Gerard Coyne? He was arrested for the rapes (including Susan Blanchard's). However Francis Blake turned out to be the serial killer and the murderer of Susan Blanchard. What the hell happened to Gerard Coyne? Was he responsible for the other rapes? He just sort of disappered after left in the interrogation room. Did you get tired or is their a chapter missing (the pages in my book are not missing any)?

I have difficulty zzzz and take one to bed each night and read till I start to drop of ..Many night's I have found I cannot put it down and it inadvertantly falls and clonks me on the head lol which is good realy as I have more time to carry on :-)

Hello :
I'm currently ending the 3rd book with Tony Hill and Carol Jordan ... arrived at the stage where she's rapped. Very hard to read what follows (surely because I'm a man, and it is terrific). A very good book 'The last temptation'. I really loves(loved) the two figures ... in particular Carol Jordan, because I'm a man in fact.
Still around 40 pages to read. So, I am going to buy the next book. I am very impatient to read more about the - fictious - life of Jordan.
Besides, I don't know should 'Beneath the bleeding' be translated in french. Because, my MAIN question is : when will Hill and Jordan will love together and live at last their love affair in a lasting manner ?
It should be next. It will be very much great ! Don't let your characters fall.

Thanks for the intro to the new Vintage edition of the Martin Beck series. I'd recently been in Stockholm when I discovered them in 1976. I'm surprised you didn't mention Simenon's Maigret novels. I wish the Beck stories would get a similar TV treatment as I've enjoyed with Gambon, though it'd need to be someone Swedish, and filmed in Stockholm.

Ever since I saw the first episode of Wire In the Blood, I was hooked, I have never missed a show and have watched many early episodes over and over again. Last year I decided that I had to read the books and have been absolutley blown away. In is a real eye opener of how the books are even better than the TV show, I never thought that was possible.
